If I can do all things through Christ,
then without Christ I can do nothing.

Human effort is always a losing proposition;
my own strength must not be my mission.

Christ is always found faithful,
no matter how insurmountable
the task before me may seem.

How can I be holy
when I am wholly corrupt?
How can my heart be pure?
What part is mine
in perfection?

How can the lowest rise
to be like the Highest?
Can I ascend?
not by my own strength.
On whom, then, must I rest?

My holiness exists
only because His does.
I am but a mirror,
catching reflected light.

Only by the riches of the Lord
can this beggar afford
to be named
holy.
