“For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.”

It’s only because of Christ that God can actively love me. He loved me in the past by sending Christ for my sin, but He loves me now, presently, because He sees the imputed righteousness of Christ upon me. If you are a child of God, He loves you, and He sees you! If you are not, He loved you enough to send Christ to be your righteousness, but His very soul hates the wicked. Trust upon Christ as your righteousness that you would avoid the deserved wrath of God.
