Purpose over Prosperity

We must understand that the Why of our Christianity is much more important that the What. For example, why you read your Bible is more important than the act itself. If we go to the Bible as a chore, then it will be a chore, but if we go to the Bible because we love God and want to hear His Word, we will find much benefit.

When we reduce our faith to a collection of experiences (healing, the streets of gold, a good life) over the one who gives all of these things we do God and ourselves and God a great disservice.

When we value healing over the healer we reduce our Father to a prescription.

Prosperity may come from our purpose, but if we seek prosperity first we will quickly lose sight of our purpose.
