James 2:14-26

If a man told you that a beautiful garden had been planted in his plot of land, yet after time had passed there is not even the smallest green shoot starting up from the soil, there are only a few possibilities;

  1. The seed that was planted is bad or dead.
  2. The man is lying or mistaken.

What then would be your advice to this man? Would you complement his beautiful garden year after year? Tell him to rely on the day that the garden was planted as proof of a future harvest?

Both may be easier for you, but when winter comes they will starve. No, they must go to the seed and examine it, begin anew, that’s their only hope for the future.
