  • The Love of Money

    The Love of Money

How much do you love wealth?
Enough to poison your water and sky?
Enough to leave children to die?
Enough to endanger your own health?

Like a dragon on a glittering hoard
Shutting your ears to all pleas
    Seeing poverty as a disease
The poor are not who are deplored

Find again the fear of God
    Not wealth, but Him adore
Only in Him your soul secure
In all else evil is found

  • How Christians Treat Others

    1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

    Brethren – Believers

Unruly – Against Order- Tell them to stop, enact church discipline.

Feeble Minded – Discouraged, Suffering – Encourage, spend time with, pray for.

Weak – Financial, Physical, Spiritual – Support in whatever way we are able to.

All Men – Believers and Unbelievers – Have patience and do good towards all.

Render Evil for Evil – Don’t resort to tit for tat actions.

Which is Good – We are to be a force of good in this world. Good doesn’t always satisfy our emotions, but it satisfies God. “Vengeance is mine, I will repay” To seek retribution for evil done towards us is to usurp God’s position.
