    Poem by Anne Bradstreet (1612-1672)

“Oh, how I long to be at rest
and soare on high among the blest.

This body shall in silence sleep
Mine eyes no more shall ever weep

No fainting fits shall me assaile
nor grinding paines my body fraile

With cares and fears ne’r cumbred be
Nor losses know, nor sorrowes see”

    Beggars

“Men are desperate, in a state of absolute spiritual poverty. The main issue in evangelism is not in proving that Christ is a Savior, but that they personally are in need of Him as their savior.

No man meets Christ as their savior on equal footing, it is always as them a beggar for the riches of Him.

This should change our prayer, our approach to evangelism. All men must become aware of their poverty to receive riches”
